Charlotte Dehnert will be at the Lander Library signing her new book, “Lester Callaway Hunt: He Put Wyoming’s Bucking Horse On the Map” on Friday, February 21 from 10:30 to 12:30. Charlotte is a long-time, respected journalist from Lander, whose award winning features appeared in The Billings Gazette, Wyoming State Journal, and Casper Star Tribune, among others  over three  decades.

Lester C. Hunt’s contributions to Wyoming’s history are extremely important, covering the Twentieth Century’s most tumultuous decades which spanned the Great Depression, World War II and the “Nightmare Decade” of the 1950s. He went to battle with Senator McCarthy. He was Wyoming’s Secretary of State, Governor, and finally US Senator and was responsible for commissioning the “bucking bronco” that is Wyoming’s most endearing symbols.

Refreshments will be served while she signs her books.
