March 4 Lander Fremont Symphony presents Christ Proctor in concert. Known around the Western world as one of the modern masters of fingerstyle guitar-composing, arranging, and performing complex orchestral music. He won the U.S. National Fingerstyle Championship. March 4-6 Dubois hosts the 50th Celebration of WY State Snowmobile Assoc. (WSSA) 2016 Fun Days hosted by the Riverton Sno-Goers, Dubois Sno-Katers and Lander Snowdrifters. Friday Night: Welcome Party – Social Hour & cash bar. Saturday: 3 levels of snowmobiling: Trail Ride at Crooked Creek Guest Ranch, Intermediate/Off Trail, and Extreme Off Trail snowmobiling. March 12 Lander Popo Agie Anglers 26th annual Fundraiser & Banquet. Come support our conservation river work by attending this year's event at the Lander Community Center. Starts at 5:30 with mingle &drinks, 6:30 sit down dinner catered by Wyoming Catholic College, and auction at 7:30. Tickets are $35 adults; $20 kids under 12. Purchase tickets at The Good Place, Wind River Outdoor Company, Wyoming Trout Unlimited office at 409 Lincoln Street or call 332-6700. Tickets are being sold at the door in limited quantities. Lots of wonderful fishing trips, gear, and local art! Support the work the Anglers, the Conservation District, Water for Wildlife, the Wyoming G&F Department, Fremont County Parks & Recreation, and the Wyoming Wildlife Natural Resources Trust have invested in on the Middle Fork of the Popo Agie in Lander City Park.

March 13 Lander 2nd Annual International Women's Day Celebration. Poetics of Peace-Poets, Artists, Native dancers, and Friends of the Wind River will gather for the theme this year "Stories of the Grandmothers.” Mayor McOmie will welcome special guest Wyoming Poet Laureate Rose Hill.  Hear her recite one of her beautiful poems – it may just move you to tears.
