Dec. 1 Lander ART FUSION for December: Featuring wire, wear and baubles; up-cycled silverware for your fridge and table, homemade lip balm, bath bombs and body scrubs. Plus cute needle felted ornaments. Suminagashi printing: Japanese floating ink printing process on paper or fabric. Instructors: Noelle Weimann, Vicky Boehmer, Liz Shultz and Lorre Hoffman. 6pm-9pm. $35 (includes wine!)  Material Fee: $5-10 depending on projects.  320 Studio at 320 Main St. 307-332-5772



Dec. 1-2 Riverton (Thurs-Fri) 12th Annual Festival of Trees! Come celebrate the magic of Christmas with a whole new twist. This years theme: Wonderful World of Candyland! Tons of creatively decorated Christmas trees compete for the top awards. This well attended Christmas tradition is held at Fremont Hall at the Riverton Fairgrounds, 1010 Fairgrounds Dr.

Dec. 1: Family Affair Tree-view: Wear your ugly Christmas sweaters for a photo with Santa, cake walk, face painting and fun the entire family.  $10 per family, 6-8pm.

Dec. 2:  Wonderful World of Candyland – Gala: Dinner, entertainment, auctions and bidding for the best themed Christmas Trees. VIP's admitted 5:30pm and the public at 6:30-9:30pm. Tickets $50 per person/$75 for 2 people. 307-856-5576, ckeele at ces-usa.com

 

Dec. 1-19 Lander The Lander Art Center presents the Native American Art Show Around Town Exhibition at the Lander Art Center. Free. Open Tues. - Thurs. 10-6pm, Fri. & Sat. 10-4pm. Dec. 3 Dubois Dubois rings in the holidays with their Annual Christmas Concert and Corner Lighting-Up Ceremony at 5pm at Ramshorn & South 1st Street. Enjoy the colorful lights with hot cocoa and cookies. Then mosey over to the Headwaters Center for the Spirit of Christmas Concert, hosted by the Dubois Museum and Association, and Friends of the Library.  This free live concert at 7pm features Dan Seelye and Packin' the Mail playing old time western Christmas favorites.  Santa will stop by at intermission to visit with the kids! Free holiday refreshments. Dec. 3 Lander Lander welcomes the holiday season with Light Up Lander!  Come enjoy cookies & cocoa from 3-5 pm, hayrides, and a special visit from Santa.  Bring a canned good for the local Food Bank in exchange for a raffle ticket to win great prizes!  Gather at Mr. Ds Food Center at 7th and Main St. Dress up warm and join the fun. A fantastic Lighted Parade to follow down Main Street. Dec. 4 Lander The Nutcracker Ballet, presented by The Eugene Ballet Troupe. The Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier will fly you away to the Snow Kingdom and the Land of the Sweets, but not before battling the not-so-scary Mouse King and his Pirate Henchmice. 7pm. Dec. 4 Lander Art in the Afternoon is Lander Art Center's holiday art fair featuring fine art from local and regional artists. Dec. 10 Dubois Dubois Museum will host their Annual Museum Christmas Open House with treats, refreshments and discounts on museum gift shop items just in time for the holidays. Dec. 10 Riverton The Riverton Museum / McDonald’s Children's Exploration Series: Make Your Own Christmas Stocking!  Learn to cut, sew, and decorate your own Christmas stocking to use or decorate your home this holiday season. We will provide all the materials, you just need to bring your ideas and creativity! 10am. Suggested Ages: 8-13. Program Fee - $4.00 per child. Dec. 17 Lander Santa's Workshop at Lander Children's Museum! Come celebrate children of all ages who still believe in Santa. The jolly old man will make an appearance and children can give their list to him personally. Dec. 31 Riverton New Year's Night Out at the Fremont County Fairgrounds. Doors open 7:30pm, band starts at 8pm, Live Band: the Fundamentals, Champagne at midnight, Hors d'oeuvres, party favors, cash bar, coffee bar, candy bar, Games with headlamps - please bring headlamps, or some will be for sale at event. Ends at 1:30am. Rides to and from available. MUST BE 21 OR OLDER TO ATTEND. Tickets $25, available at the Fremont County Fair office: 1010 Fairgrounds Dr.  Call 307-856-6611 for reservations.
