Dance at Wind River Casino in Riverton every Tuesdays in June, July &
August.  Performances of traditional Indian dances and stories begin at 6
p.m. - 7:30.  Come enjoy the backdrop of the Wind River Mountains and
 Traditional tepees.   The audience is often invited to dance along in an
authentic Northern Arapaho "friendship dance" and the end of the

July 4 – Lander’s 120th Pioneer Days 4th of July Parade & Rodeos -
World's Oldest Historical Pageant Parade starts on Main St. at 10am with
the 30th Annual Lander Half Marathon, walkers 6 a.m., runners 6:30 a.m.

park!  The 2014 series will feature theme of “Movie Madness,” and the

July 8 – Dubois - Dennison Lodge Bird Lecture: The Amazing in the
Familiar: Surprising Facts about Common Birds – Roger Lederer and Carol
Burr. Birds have histories, traits, personalities, and idiosyncrasies that
are fascinating. Everyone is thrilled by the sight of a new, unusual, or
spectacular bird. We tend to give only a passing glance at the birds we see
a lot of or hear about frequently. This is an opportunity to gain insight
into the individual stories of common birds, such as how Cedar Waxwings
tell each other apart, why birds migrate with one eye, what Shakespeare had
to do with our avian fauna and why Ravens talk to wolves.  Free program at

July 9-14 Lander – 21st Annual International Climbers' Festival - The
festival is an annual celebration of the sport of climbing.  This year it
will feature slideshows, climbing clinics, dyno climbing competition, trade
fair, trail run, film festival, yoga, music, parties, art crawl, contests

July 10 - The International Climbers' Festival Art Crawl is a new event
that has 10 stops along Main St. featuring adventure art as well as a beer
tasting and a scotch tasting. The entire event is sponsored by Central Bank
and Trust in Lander and will take place July 10th from 5:30-8:00pm. The
event is open to the public and we encourage non-climbers to come out and
enjoy the art! Ticket holders to the International Climbers' Festival will
be given $10 to spend on art at the event as part of their ticket.

July 15 – Torrey Basin Petroglyph Trek – Meet at the Museum at 5 p.m.
for a free driving/hiking tour of Dinwoody-ancient traditional rock art led
by Museum Education Director Sally Wulbrecht. The tour is limited to 15

July 18-20: Riverton Rendezvous-Hot Air Balloon Rally on Saturday and
Sunday.  Watch the sky fill with color!  Meet balloon enthusiasts from
all over. The media flight is on Friday with the rally on Saturday and
Sunday. For the rally, the balloons go off behind Central Wyoming College
(CWC) at the soccer field (2660 Peck Ave. next to white water tower) 6 -
6:30 a.m., tethered balloon rides at 7am, and a balloon glow at 8pm - all
weather permitting. Start your day with a Kiwanis Pancake breakfast 6am,
Paws Redneck BBQ & RugRat Carnival 10-4pm on CWC south lawn, Hot Cars-Cool

July 18-20 - Ethete - Annual Ethete Celebration & Pow-Wow, at Ethete Road
and US Hwy.132.  Grand entry times are Friday at 7pm, on Saturday 1pm and
7pm with a feast at 5pm, and Sunday grand entry is 3pm.  Professional
dancers from tribes all over the US travel to be part of this favorite
cultural Pow-wow, hosted in Ethete, WY. Come enjoy the colorful regalia and
traditional dances while sampling some fabulous Indian food.  Take home
some amazing handmade traditional crafts found no where else. Lot's of cash

July 19 - Bring the family to gorgeous Sinks Canyon State Park for the 2nd
Annual "Run Like A Bighorn" Trail Fun.  The race will begin at 7 a.m.,
with registration at Sawmill campground beginning at 6:00 a.m. You may also
pre-register at the Sinks Visitor Center. The registration fee is $20 for
adults and $10 for kids. This 5.9 mile run in the canyon is different from
the other runs in the area since it is completely a trail run and is
extremely challenging. The organizers say that people are welcome to walk
or hike the route as well. Come enjoy the race, feed the wild trout, and

July 19 - Step back in history and bring the family to the 3rd Annual
Festival of the Mountain Man!  Meet colorful historic characters in the
wax museum, learn to shoot a bow and arrow, watch Indian Dancing, listen to

cowboys, cowgirls, and their animals, take in the arts and crafts their

a western shoot-out, savor lots of true west cuisine and shop till you drop

Wind River Casino will host a special Poker Run in conjunction with the
