Wild West Winter Carnival 
 A coloring contest for students in Grades kindergarten through 5th, from January 5tht to January 29th   Each year a new themed picture is distributed through the schools, and prizes are awarded within age groups for best coloring. 
 
Night Parade begins at 6 p.m. January 15TH on the south side of Riverton’s Main St. The prizes are $100 for first prize, $75 for second prize, and $50, for third prize.   A form may be picked up at the Riverton Chamber of Commerce or contact a winter carnival member.  Contact person: Michelle & Glenn Wiess 307-851-8331.
 
The Car and Bike Show will be at the Armory on January 16th and 17th from 11am to 4pm. This allows car owners to exhibit their prize collections. "Vehicle entry fee is $20. The show is free to the public.".

Sunday, January 17th @ 10 am to 2 pm or so Ride In location to be announced Depends on snow

  Wind River Casino Night  will be held at the Wind River Casino January 16th, from  6 PM to 9 PM.    Free slot tournament to anyone with Wild West Winter Carnival button.  Buttons are sold at the gift shop at Wind River Casino.
 
A Treasure Hunt is held in Fremont County from January 19TH to ?.  Members of the community, can follow the clues in the Riverton Ranger to locate the Medallion, a paper weight sized medal that says Winter Carnival.  If you find the Medallion, and you have a Wild West Winter Carnival button, you can win $500.

Wild West Winter Carnival Ice Fishing Derby January 22-24  See the biggest little city on ice at the popular held at Boysen Reservoir from January 23RD &  24TH  .  Different species of local fish create multiple classes for biggest/longest catch.   Prizes are awarded at 2:00 p.m. at the B&K Shoreline on Jan 24TH  

A Poker Run January 23rd  will be held on the west side of Boysen Reservoir on Jan 23rd  from 10am to 2pm.  This allows for participants to view the area and get a poker hand on the way. There will be different places around the lake to get your cards so warm up your 4-wheeler, snowmobile or whatever transportation you want.
 
 
CATS WILD WEST KID’S CARNIVAL JANUARY 23 RD  10 AM – 2:00PM 120 S 3RD  STREET
Riverton, Wyoming Bring the family to the Children's Art, Technology and Science Center (address already in press release) to enjoy carnival games and activities.  Cost is $2 for CATS members and $5 for non-members.  Adults with a child and kids under 2 are free.  Wear your 2015 WWWC button to receive a free gift and be entered into Raffle Basket.  Unattended children will not be permitted.

ICE SCULPTING Saturday January 30TH  activities beginning with the Ice Sculpting
on Main Street starting at 9 a.m. – 12 NOON   Artists from around the region compete for trophies in the Beginner, Intermediate and Professional class.  The sculptures adorn Main Street until they melt.  People of all ages are encouraged to participate in this event.
 
Tethered Balloon Rides are available at Riverton City Park on  JANUARY  30th  starting at 10 a.m.  There is no fee, the local Hot Air Balloon group provides the fun

Hole in One Golf is held at Riverton City Park on January 30th  at 11 a.m.  For a fee, you can try to get a hole-in-one on a 100 yard hole. Closest to the pin wins a cash prize

A Kids Coin Grab is held at Riverton City Park on January 30th  at 1 p.m.  The current King & Queen hide coins in shredded paper, and allow kids to keep the coins they find.  In order to promote a fair contest, the children are separated into age groups and given a set time to look.

Wild West Winter Carnival 2015 Coronation/ Gala  is held at Manhattan Restaurant  February 6th @ 6 PM Children Princess & Prince Ball , dress up like your favorite Princess and Prince  character
The previous King & Queen 2014 (did not have King & Queen 2015)  pass on the Belt Buckle, Crown & Sash to the new King & Queen 2016.  A Junior King & Queen may also be crowned, with associated scholarship prizes awarded.  WWWC 2016 Color Contest Awards will be presented
 The Wild West Winter Carnival Gala will be held at Manhattan Restaurant on February 6th starting at 7
We invite our sponsors and the public to enjoy delectable hors d’ouvres and music. Public will need to have buttons, which can be purchased for $5 each at the door, from WWWC member, Riverton Ranger or at Wind River Casino. Sponsors must have ticket.

The Riverton Rotary Crab Crack is held at St Margaret’s on Feb 6th, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.  All You Can Eat crab is cooked by the Riverton Rotary Club, money raised is used for local high school scholarships

The Wyoming Star Quilters will have quilts on display on and before January 30th  @ Jerry’s Flowers & Things.    Wyoming Star Quilters Quilt fest will be at Riverton Armory on  January 30th h from 10 AM to 5 PM and January 31st   from 10 am to 3 pm. The Quilters will also hold a silent auction at the Crab Crack and announce the winners at the Rotary Crab Crack February 6th… also will be displayed at Jerry’s Flowers & Things
 

The Riverton Artist’s Guild presents the annual Quick Draw will be held at the Riverton Elks Club on  FEBRUARY 12TH starting at 6pm - 8p.m.  Artists complete a project within an hour while the public mills around behind them, and the results are auctioned off later that evening. 


  RC Car Races will be held at the Wind River Casino on February 20th   from 10 am to 5 pm.  February 21st 10 AM to 3 PM Racers from 3 states will compete for prizes and trophies with 1/28th scale race cars. Mini-Z remote controlled car races will be happening throughout the day.
