Plan now to attend the Gardening & Backyard Living Expo  this Saturday April
11, 2015.  The Expo is held at Lander Valley High School (350 Baldwin
Creek).  Doors open at 9:00 a.m. and workshops begin at 9:30 a.m.  The Expo
promotes backyard enjoyment, gardening success, and outdoor recreation.  
  
•	VENDORS will showcase new products and services and provide our first peek
of spring blooms. Come see lawn tractors, mowers, grills/smokers, decking,
wind chimes, bird feeders, outdoor gear, a wide selection of plants, and
much more.  Vendors will be eager to answer all your questions.  

•	BARNYARDS & BACKYARDS WORKSHOPS will tackle interesting topics and provide
tips for success.  From Vegetable Container Gardening to Tried and True
Trees to NOL’s Marvelous Meals In The Mountains… we have a workshop for you.
There are 10 workshops in all so visit http://www.popoagie.org for the
complete class schedule and descriptions. 

•	THE KID’S CORNER will feature activities such as creating seed tape, kitty
grazing pots, painted rock critters, leaf prints and more. The Kid’s Corner
is a big hit with families! 

•	FARMER’S MARKET booths will feature local meat, poultry, produce, breads,
pastries, jellies, salsa, and more. Learn how you can get involved in the
area community gardens and farmer’s markets.

•	CONCESSIONAIRES will be available to provide tasty treats and satisfying
meals. 

•	Attendees can enter a drawing for a FREE BALLED AND BURLAPPED TREE donated
by Sprouts Greenhouse.

•	Prepare for spring with a “Backyard Bag” and “Garden Tote”.  These
incredibly useful, reusable bags are light weight, strong, fold flat for
storage and stand up by themselves even when empty. Check them out at the
Popo Agie Conservation District booth.
