Have you ever considered hosting an exchange student? EF High School
Exchange Year is looking for warm and loving host families to welcome a
foreign exchange student during the 2015/16 school year.

As a host family, you choose a student from a list of profiles based on
your family’s interests and activities and the student lives in your home
as a participating family member. They are like a son or daughter to you,
they help with household chores, attend school and share their culture with
you while learning about our culture. You provide your students with meals,
a bed and a nurturing environment. Students receive a monthly allowance
from their natural parents to pay for their own toiletries, personal needs,
activities, school supplies, clothing and entertainment. That way it is not
a financial burden for a host family. They can have their own room or they
can share a room with the same gender child as long as they have a separate
bed and place for their belongings.

Our students are well screened to participate in our program, speak English
and have a strong desire to experience America. Our students have never
experienced typical American things like riding on yellow school busses,
participating in school sponsored sports, eating a PB & J sandwich or
making s’mores and they get VERY excited about experiencing these iconic
American things- just to name a few! It is so fun to experience our
culture through the eyes of someone else and in the process learn so much
about our own country and culture as well as theirs.

Most of our host families enjoy the experience so much that they host
multiple times and it is common for host families to stay in touch with
their students for a lifetime.

We have students who are waiting to hear from their American family. Maybe
that is you?
